Your privacy is important to us. This privacy policy explains what information will be collected by Pate app, how the information will be used, and how you can control the collection, correction and/or deletion of information.

Pate (“Service”) is developed by Patepal Ltd (“we” or “us”). The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this privacy policy.

Information we collect

(a) User-provided information

While using Pate, you provide certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to: User profile and registration information. When you install Pate, it does not require any special permissions to access your device. Any needed permissions in the future are asked when these functionalities are used first time.

(b) Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

(c) Cookies

Cookies are files with small amount of data that is commonly used an anonymous unique identifier. These are sent to your browser from the website that you visit and are stored on your device internal memory. This Service does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collection information and to improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.

We use technologies, such as cookies, to customise content and advertising, to provide social media features and to analyse traffic to the site. We also share information about your use of our site with our trusted social media, advertising and analytics partners.

Managing Your Information

If you’d like us to delete all user data that you have provided, please contact us at info@patepal.com and we will respond in a reasonable time.

  • Correct or update your personal data;
  • Request the deletion of your personal data;
  • Object to the processing of your personal data where we are relying on a legitimate interest;
  • Restrict the processing of your personal data;

  • Withdraw your consent to certain processing activities (where consent is the legal basis for those processing activities).

How we protect your information

Pate is concerned with protecting your privacy and personal data. We maintain appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal data. Pate data transmission is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL). We also employ application layer security features to further anonymize personal data.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage, is 100 % secure. Therefore we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to Pate or guarantee that your information on the service may not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of any of our industry standard physical, technical or managerial safeguards. In the event that personal information is compromised as a breach of security, we will promptly notify our customers in compliance with applicable law.

How we use information that we collect

We may use the information we collect to operate, provide customer support, personalize, improve, offer, maintain and protect our Services.

Pate uses third party services that may collect information from you. These third party service providers have their own privacy policies:

Children’s Privacy

We do not use Pate to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at info@patepal.com. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.

Law Enforcement, Legal Process and Compliance

We may disclose Personal Data or other information if required to do so by law or in belief that such action is necessary to comply with applicable laws, in response to a facially valid court order, judicial or other government subpoena or warrant, or to otherwise cooperate with law enforcement or other governmental agencies.

We also reserve the right to disclose Personal Data or other information that we believe, in good faith, is appropriate or necessary to:

Change of Ownership

Information including Personal Data may be disclosed and otherwise transferred to an acquirer, successor or assignee as part of any merger, acquisition, debt financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction, as well as in the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership in which information is transferred to one or more third parties as one of our business assets and only if the recipient of the User or Visitor Data commits to a Privacy Policy that has terms substantially consistent with this Privacy Policy. Client Data may be physically or electronically transferred to an acquirer, or successor or assignee as part of any merger, acquisition, debt financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction, as well as in the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership in which information is transferred to one or more third parties as one of our business assets, for the sole purpose of continuing the operation of the Service, and only if the recipient of the Client Data commits to a Privacy Policy that has terms substantially consistent with this Privacy Policy.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy. Changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
